About veronica
Veronica Roseborough is a senior at Carlmont High School. She has always had a passion for math, ironically, but enrolled in her school's media arts program, a feeder into journalism, in hopes of improving her writing skills. Throughout the past three years, she has interviewed city council members, trustee board members, and has gotten to know the administrative staff at Carlmont. She particularly likes to tell the untold stories, such as what goes on behind the scenes in her school, community, and in the lives of her peers. This year, she serves as the Editor in Chief of Carlmont High School's award-winning online publication, Scot Scoop News. In addition, she is a weekly intern and monthly columnist for the San Mateo Daily Journal. She ultimately plans to pursue journalism in college and is forever grateful for her school's fantastic journalism program.
Much to the excitement of her and her fellow student journalists, Scot Scoop was awarded a National Scholastic Press Association 2020 Online Pacemaker award and placed second in JEA's Best of the West competition.
